Starting 2018 of right
Happy new year! Whilst I am writing this I have been doing some Luther a02 plans for RS , such fun but they need to get done! I want to do a post on starting of 2018 on the right foot and leaving any negativity and bad experiences behind you in 2017 even though it can be hard, I know. I am not going to pretend 2017 was the best year ever for me because honestly it wasn’t, it has been a tough year in some ways but I also have lots of happy memories from 2017 too.
It is best to start of the new year right, I think writing a lot of realistic goals and ambitions for the year can be very motivating, don’t do unrealistic goals as it will feel demoralising when you don’t achieve them; making gradual goals are much more effective in my opinion. Instead of planning to drink 1 litre of water every day from very little, gradually build it up until you reach your goal.
Also if you want a fresh look for the year go for it (I have decided this year I am going to get my hair cut shorter). If you think some friends are toxic or if you need change then do it, you will feel all the more refreshed for doing so. If you want to start a new club and your friends don’t want to, you could drag them along or make new friends along the way. A new year is an ideal opportunity to reflect on the past year and take time to make this year even better.
I want to end this quote with a quote I feel is quite fitting with the atmosphere of optimism and positivity, also hangovers etc but lets focus on the positives ok.
The quote is ”Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind”. I think this is an important quote for the new year in saying how important it is to do things you want to and not concentrate on doing things for others who matter little in the grand scheme of life.
Start this New year of right, I believe in you! Larissa xo
