Hope everyone has had a good February and early march. Mine has been very busy with preparation for mocks but life seems to find a way of keeping us busy. Here are some of my recent favourites!

Tv shows

Call the midwife is such an amazing, feel good family Tv show but it is so much more than that. It has such well developed characters with very complex lives, it gives an in depth look at the late 1950’s to early 60’s more recently which is recognisable in some ways but in other ways very different. I also adore the outfits, I personally love 1960’s fashion so that is definitely a bonus!

Death in paradise is an old favourite of mine but I have been really enjoying the new season. I adore the tropical location and the storylines have been very interesting this season too.

Doctor who season 4 (new season 4). I have really enjoyed rewatching some of my favourite Doctor Who episodes with David Tennant as the Doctor, the ‘fires of Pompeii’ and ‘The unicorn and the wasp’ because as everyone probably knows by how I do adore history related programmes.

Books. I haven’t had too much time to read honestly as I have been so busy recently but here are some books I have enjoyed reading recently.

Phillipa Gregory ‘The last Tudor’ and ‘Three sisters, three queens’. Larissa reading more history based books? Never! No surprise here but I have been really enjoying these books recently, I love the richness of Gregory’s writing, it really helps me to immerse myself in the Tudor world!

Jane Austen Northanger abbey. This was recommended to me by a friend and it’s such a good read, it has lots of memorable characters in it.

Music. A lot of these songs are older songs which is mainly because I haven’t found that much new music I have liked this month and I have also been busy in the build up to mocks in a few weeks.
